GARDENING
Through the Gardening Project, we completed dementia partner training at the Dementia Relief Center operated by the local government of Ilsandong-gu. There, we learned how to respect and care for elderly individuals with dementia, followed by a letter-writing volunteer activity to express our compassion. Additionally, we organized a blood donation campaign to emphasize the importance of donating blood within our community. By collaborating with government agencies in a non-contact manner during the COVID-19 pandemic, we were able to continue our service efforts and share the significance of civic engagement.

Result
We were able to complete dementia partner training in collaboration with the Ilsandong-gu local government. This experience led to a letter-writing volunteer activity, allowing youth to share their warm hearts with elderly individuals living with dementia, who are among society’s most vulnerable. Additionally, by highlighting the importance of blood donation, members learned how civic participation can bring about meaningful changes in both society and the healthcare system.
